Limited Warranty
What is covered?
Internationalwoodtrade.com limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship of our doors. This warranty (and implied warranties, if any) is not transferable.
How long does coverage last?
Our warranty runs for a period of one (1) year, starting from the date of purchase.
What is not covered?
The following shall not be considered defects in material or workmanship under any circumstances and are not covered by this limited warranty:
- Damages caused by others or any cause beyond our control, including but not limited to damage caused by abuse, accident or mishandling or by fire, flood, earthquake, storm, tornado or other acts of nature.
- Broken glass is not covered.
- Damage or defects caused by house settling.
- Knife, molder or shaper marks which do not impair the dimensional integrity of the door.
- Natural wood color or texture variations.
- Warping of any door, not exceeding ¼” in plane of the door itself. All 8’ height doors are Not warranted against warpage.
- If deterioration occurs due to the failure to finish and seal all exposed surfaces and edges of the door within 72 hours of delivery.

Doors finished or painted Black (or any Dark Color) with any sun exposure.
Defect caused by (1) warp or bow of the frame or jamb in which the door is hung or (2) improper installation such that the door does not swing freely.
- Damage caused by improper handling or on-site storage. Storage damage includes moisture in doors due to humidity.
- Failure to perform normal homeowner’s maintenance, including maintaining the finish.
- Door installed in a building before mudding and taping is dried and complete.
Any exterior door must be installed under an adequate overhang or with protection; adequate overhang means a minimum overhang projecting a distance from the structure equal to one half the distance between the bottom of the door and the bottom of the overhang at the point which is farthest from the door.

Installing a nonvented or combo wood storm door over the door.
- Frame or jamb bow or misalignment.
- Damage resulting from attempts to repair doors by others who are not authorized by us.
- Rustic alder surface checks which are less than 1/8” in width and 5” long.
- Variation in thickness, width, or length less than the industry standards.
- Expansion and contraction of the door and other changes in the form due to environmental conditions, including without limitation changes in moisture, temperature and humidity.
- Panel shrinkage and misalignment, which leaves an unstained line along the edge of the panel (may be caused by fluctuations or differences in temperature and humidity).
- Improper installation of hardware.
- Using an interior door in an exterior application.
Doors should be elevated so that water does not pool or stand around the base of the door. This is a construction or engineering defect and will not be covered under this warranty.
- Water infiltration other than as a result of a defect in manufacturing, materials or workmanship.
- Doors should not be installed where environmental conditions will result in the door being exposed to intense vibrations, high moisture, salt(i.e. costal areas), areas of extreme atmospheric heat(in excess of 120 degrees Fahrenheit) or extreme variations in temperatures.

Modifying our door will also void the warranty. Modifying includes excessive trimming, removing panels, v-grooving damage (v-grooming in excess of 3/8” wide and 3/16” deep and distressing damage.
- Any visible defects or mistake in shipment reported to us more than 24 hours after receipt or after the product is installed.
- Minor imperfections in the product, including but not limited to, minor imperfection in the panel and/or frame graining or color; variations in wood grain, color, texture or natural characteristics; variations or unsatisfactory results in gloss level, texture or appearance resulting from the field application of paint or other finishing material; minor imperfection in glass that do not affect the product’s structural integrity or significantly obscure vision( including textures, swirls and air bubbles in decorative glass); minor variations in glass color.
If warp is the claimed nonconformity, we may defer to repair or replace the product for a period of up to twelve (12) months from the date of claim or the date when the product was installed, as it is not unusual for a temporary warp condition to occur as the door adjusts to local humidity and temperature conditions. The deferral will not be counted against the one (1) year warranty period.
Claims made under this warranty must be made within the one (1) year period of this warranty and prior to the beginning of any repair work to: Internationalwoodtrade.com warranty department Phone: 000-000-0000. Claims must include the date of purchase, the nature of the problem, copies of invoices and the name, address and telephone of the person making the warranty claim. A description of the concerns (photos must be included) shall also be provided. We reserve the right to have any door which is subject of a warranty claim field inspected by our reprehensive. We must be given at least a thirty (30) days opportunity to conduct this inspection.
LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE BUYER OR USER, AND THE SOLE
LIABILITY OF INTERNATIONALWOODTRADE.COM FOR ANY AND
ALL CLAIMS, LOSSES, INJURIES OR DAMAGES (INCLUDING CLAIM
CLAIMS BASED ON BREACHES OF WARRANTY, CONTRACT,
NEGLIGENCE, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE) RESULTING
FROM THE SALE, OR USE OF THESE PRODUCTS, SHALL BE, AT THE OPTION OF INTERNATIONALWOODTRADE, COM, THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT OR THE RETURN OF THE ORGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT, AS PROVIDED HEREIN, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LIABILITY OF INTERNATIONALWOODTRADE.COM EXCEED THE PRICE PAID FOR THE PRODUCT.
Replacement product shall be reasonability similar current product within (2) years of date of sale, the cost covered by this warranty do not include any labor or material costs associates with finishing space surrounding or adjacent to the repaired or replaced product including furnishing any trim or other carpentry work. Replacement product provided pursuant to this Limited warranty shall be subjected to the applicable Internationalwoodtrade.com Limited Warranty only for the remainder of the original warranty period on the product being replaced. If Internationalwoodtrade.com provide any of the remedies identified in the Limited Warranty above (i.e., repair, replacement of product or refund of the purchase price), then Buyer and/or user agree that this limitation of remedy shall not failed of its essential purpose.
How does state law apply?
This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have rights which vary from state to state.
No Salesperson or other Reprehensive of Internationalwoodtrade.com has the authority to alter or change these warranties or to make any other warranty either orally or in writing.
Maintenance Instruction
Proper maintenance will not only protect your door during the warranty period, it will also extend the life of the product. The door should be routinely inspected, cleaned, lubricated, and the door should be kept in a rust and rot free condition.
Procedures to follow to maintain warranty
Failure to observe these procedures may result in or precipitate an adverse reaction of the product, and shall void the warranty or claim,
Handling
All doors are packaged for forklift loading and unloading. They are palletized and banded together. Upon receipt, any shipping damage must be noted on the bill of lading and reported immediately to the delivering carrier and Internationalwoodtrade.com.

Doors must be stored flat on a level surface in a dry, well ventilated building at least 4” above the ground and covered to avoid direct sunlight, as well as moisture, dirt and dust.

Doors stored on the job must be sealed on all six (6) sides to minimize moisture absorption.

Doors must be conditioned to average prevailing relative humidity and temperature of the locality before hanging.

Do not walk on doors or drag doors across one another particularly if they include raised molding.

Doors must not be subject to extreme or rapid changes in heat or humidity. Sudden changes such as forced heat used to dry out the building.

Inspect the condition of exterior finish at least once a year and refinish as often as needed to maintain the protective stability of the finish.

All exterior surface-including the top, bottom and sides of the door-must be finish coated with a good quality exterior grade paint or top coat...(At least 3 coats of exterior grade top coat with a UV inhibitor must be applied.)
